Terms and conditions

• Premiums must be paid every month
• Where premiums are missed in the first 30 days of the month, outstanding premiums must be paid within the second 30 days grace period
• If no premium is received the policy will lapse but may be reinstated
• You must submit your claim with original documents (or certified copies) within 6 (six) months of date of death
• There is a 6 (six) month waiting period for claims due to natural causes for lives below the age of 65 at entry
• Lives age 65 and above at entry will have a 9 (nine) month waiting period for claims due to natural causes
• Immediate cover for accidental death
• Death due to self-inflicted injury or suicide will not be covered during the first 24 months after inception
• Union Life will not pay if death occurs as a result of the insured partaking in unlawful activities
• Doves Life Plan includes car hire up to 6 (six) days
• Doves Burial Service Plan/All Nations Plus+ includes car hire up to 7 (seven) days and transportation of the deceased within the borders of South Africa
• 10% Admin fee is applicable on all cash claims
• The premiums will be reviewed on the anniversary date of the policy
