What is Walking Stick?
A walking stick or walking cane is a device used primarily to aid walking, provide postural stability or support, or assist in maintaining a good posture.
Some designs also serve as fashion accessories or are used for self-defense. Walking sticks come in many shapes and sizes and some have become collector’s items.

How do I find a good walking stick?

Look for a reasonably straight stick that is at least 1″ (2.5cm) in diameter. It should be slightly larger around than is comfortable to hold, so you can carve off some of the wood and still have a stick substantial enough to support you while you’re walking.
What can you use instead of a walking stick?
Crutches. If a walking stick is not quite supportive enough, crutches may be an effective alternative.
One or two crutches can be used at any one time and, rather than putting pressure on the wrist as walking sticks do, crutches spread the pressure over the lower arm instead.
