The PayPal Debit Card is not yet available in all countries. I regret that it is not at this time available in South Africa.
Where do I go to get a PayPal card?
To apply for a PayPal Debit Card, click Get The Card on the PayPal Debit Card page, and follow the instructions to request your card.
You’ll need to: Have a PayPal Balance account (no fees to set up an account). Be an active PayPal member with no open issues in the Resolution Center.
Do you pay to open a PayPal account in South Africa?
It’s free to open a PayPal account and buy something using PayPal unless it involves a currency conversion.
There are no PayPal fees if you use your PayPal balance to send money in your own currency to friends and family. There may be fees for other transactions.
How long does it take a PayPal card to arrive?
7-10 days
Your PayPal Debit Card will arrive in the mail 7-10 days after you request it. We’ll send the card to the address you entered and confirmed in your application.
It’ll arrive in a PayPal-branded envelope. If you haven’t received your card after 10 days, please cancel it and request a new one.
