Lost or damaged certificate

Apply for the replacement of your matric certificate (National Senior Certificate) at the Department of Basic Education or the provincial Department of education if you have lost or damaged your original certificate. You may apply and pay for the re-issue online.

You can request the statement of results while waiting for the release of your certificate. If the certificate is damaged, you must return the damaged certificate to the Department of Basic Education.
