How much does it cost to put on braces in South Africa?

Labial (normal braces) cases range between R17, 132 up to R34,850. Aligners range from R33,565 up to R56,797. There is an additional upfront appliance fee for the Aligner appliance.

The Aligner appliance fee is payable before the 3D scan is done.

Are braces painful?

Mild pain or discomfort is a normal side effect of wearing braces. But you should only feel the discomfort immediately after your orthodontist places or adjusts your braces or wires.

The discomfort typically disappears within four days, and braces pain rarely lasts longer than a week.

How do you brush your teeth with braces on?

Start by holding the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle and gently brushing along the gum line. Next, shift the angle of the toothbrush so that you can carefully brush the tops of your brackets.

Then, reposition the toothbrush to angle up so that you can brush under the brackets and wire.
