What is the easiest air plant to grow?
Tillandsia amaranthus is an air plant species with a charming common name: flower of the air. This air plant is an excellent choice for beginners and grows 6-9 inches tall. It has dark green foliage and a pink and blue flower that often lasts for weeks.
How long can air plants live?
Most individual air plants bloom once in their lifetimes and die within a few months of blooming. Although some species will survive up to a year afterward.
Do air plants need water?
When growing air plants inside, they benefit from being watered at least once per week. Frequency depends on the humidity of their location. An air plant grown near a heater will dry out much faster and need more frequent watering than a plant grown in a more humid environment.
