Computer courses are offered to all grade 8 and 9 learners and Internet access is closely monitored by the IT Department.
Agricultural Sciences is the scientific study of soils, plants and animals in the production of food, fibre, fuel and other agricultural commodities. This subject covers a broad spectrum of agricultural issues and consists of:

- Basic biology concepts

Agricultural Management Practices (AMP)
AMP is the study and application of specific principles used for the production and value adding of high quality agricultural products. The learner will gain skills in management of agricultural enterprises. AMP consists of:
- Management Skills
- Entrepreneurial Skills
- Crop Production
- Animal Production
- Value Adding of Agricultural Products
Agricultural Technology (ATEC)
Agricultural Technology is based on an understanding of how processes, equipment and structures are used together with people, soil, plants and animals on the farm. ATEC affords learners the opportunity to identify, investigate, design, make, evaluate and communicate by using skills to carry out practical projects, operate, repair and maintain equipment, design and construct structures on the farm.
Please note that the internal rule at Weston is that learners need to get 55% in Mathematics in Grade 9 in order for them to carry on with the subject from Grade 10 to Grade 12. If your son does not meet this requirement he has to take Mathematical Literacy.
You cannot take Physical Science or Agricultural Science without Mathematics.
