Why succulents are costly?
Generally, the bigger they are, the more expensive they are. This is especially true if you have a large succulent that is slow growing because in order to get that big it took years of care and effort. The shape and health of the plant effects price as well.
How long do succulents live?
Succulents come in different types, and their lifespan varies. For example, a Hens and Chicks succulent can live from 3, and above years, a Jade plant can live from 70 to 100 years, while a Barrel Cactus can live for centuries! It’s incredible how long succulent plants can live.
How do I start succulents?
Simply cut the head of the plant off the lengthy stem, leaving about an inch of stem attached. Dry it out, let it grow roots and plant. The remaining stem of a healthy beheaded plant should grow new leaves in a compact grouping, making for a sturdier, more attractive plant.
