A marriage proposal is a custom or ritual, common in Western cultures, in which one member of a couple asks the other for their hand in marriage.
If accepted, it marks the initiation of engagement, a mutual promise of later marriage. Not all engagements begin with a proposal of marriage.

The aquarium is one of the most popular ideas in Cape Town, whereby you take your partner to the aquarium and go underwater to go and propose or if you’re on holiday, it’s nice to go snorkelling in a beautiful clear blue sea and then pop the question while you’re snorkelling.

This is not something for everyone and if you’re not a public person we wouldn’t advise this. If you have the option in your city or state where you have a billboard available, inquire! How to seriously propose a girl?
Organise a date night in advance. Have a series of date nights so that by the time you propose, you will completely take her by surprise.
Go revisit a few of the places that have sentimental meaning to your relationship. Tell her how much she means to you (read: how much you love her) and pop the question.
