Is PVC skirting cheaper than wood?
Plastic skirting boards, usually made from UPVC, are a lesser-known alternative to traditional wooden skirting boards. Since they can be mass-produced more easily, plastic skirting boards tend to be cheaper than their timber counterparts.

What size skirting looks best?
There’s a general convention that states your skirting boards should be 1/18 of your ceiling’s height. This is not a hard-and-fast rule, but keeping in mind residences are now smaller, it’s worth checking your ceiling’s height before settling for a specific size. The standard skirting board height sits at 144/145 mm.
How do I calculate how much skirting I need?
Before you order your skirting boards, measure all of the walls where the skirting will be fitted (without taking any door openings into account). You should then multiply this measurement by 1.10 (10%).
How long is a length of skirting?
