How safe is it to parachute?

Injuries were most commonly reported during the landing sequence. With modern equipment and training methods, fatalities occur in less than 1 per 100,000 cases, and serious injuries requiring hospitalization in less than 2 per 10,000 cases. This puts the assessment of skydiving as a high-risk sport into perspective.

Young and old can participate in Skydiving as long as they are physically fit and healthy. We have a minimum age limit of 12 years old. No maximum age limit, although the elderly need to be healthy and physically able to perform a Skydive. 

Do parachutes have a fail-safe?

When a parachute fails to open correctly, or has an issue such as a broken line, we have very clear processes to handle the situation.

Plus, we have a second parachute (a reserve) in the kit, which we deploy once the malfunctioning one is released. It’s something we’re completely prepared for.
