Get your Construction Induction Card (white card). This can be attained through the completion of a short course at a registered training organisation (RTO).

Search for employers offering traineeships providing the Certificate III in Rigging (CPC30711). This certification can be completed as part of a paid traineeship, or alternatively through part–time study over the course of 1-2 years.

You may need to complete additional licences such as a Working at Heights ticket, Basic Fire ticket, Working in Confined Spaces ticket, Forklift Licence or High–Risk Work ticket. These tickets and licences are usually attained through the completion of short courses and should be gained from a registered training organisation (RTO).
