1.        I need to earn money fast and have a car.This is the worst reason to become a driving Instructor.Too many fly-by-nights operate on this basis. You need to be prepared to work hard to qualify, train students exceptionally well and make many sacrifices to succeed.
2.        I like the idea of having my own business and being self-employed.This is a half-good reason to start your career as a driving Instructor. Bear in mind that there is a missing factor here. You need to be committed to producing safe, competent drivers to deserve the right to qualify as an Instructor.

Difficulties facing driving instructors in South Africa:

There is no official training to become a driving instructor in South Africa.
