How To Avoid Automatic Download In Whatsapp

To avoid automatic downloads in WhatsApp, you can easily change the settings to stop photos, videos, audio, and documents from being downloaded without your permission. This helps save data and storage, especially in group chats.

Here’s how to turn off automatic media download on WhatsApp:

📱 For Android:

1. Open WhatsApp.
2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner and select Settings.
3. Go to Storage and data.
4. Under Media auto-download, you’ll see three categories:
   • When using mobile data
   • When connected on Wi-Fi
   • When roaming
5. Tap each one and uncheck:
   • Photos
   • Audio
   • Videos
   • Documents
     Then tap OK.
