How To Archive Communities On WhatsApp

You can archive a community group chat by tapping a community from either the Chats tab or the Communities tab. Then, tap and hold a chat inside the community. Tap Archive chat. You can’t archive a whole community.

4. Tap Deactivate community > Deactivate.

Can someone still message you if you archive the chat?

Archiving a chat doesn’t delete the chat or back it up to your SD card. Archived individual or group chats will stay archived when you receive a new message from that individual or group chat. You won’t receive notifications for archived chats unless you’re mentioned or replied to.
