Please look at the programmes to see all the courses available and their minimum requirements. Visit www.cut.ac.za, click “Study at CUT”, then click “Apply Online” to make your online application. Application is free, and the final date for submission is 30 September 2022.
What documents are required when applying to the Central University of Technology, Free State?
Undergraduate applicants
- Most recent results if you are still matriculating
- Certified copy of your senior certificate if you have matriculated and ID
- Certified copy of your senior certificate, higher certificates, study record and ID if you have a post-matric qualification
Postgraduate applicants
- Please visit the office of the head of the department in which you are interested in studying to discuss a research project before proceeding to make an application. Click here for more information.

You are required to provide certified copies of the following
- Valid Passport
- Study Visa
- South African Medical Aid
- SAQA Certificate, visit saqa.org.za
- An equivalent of the South African National Senior Certificate with degree endorsement or a certificate of exemption from the Matriculation Board of South Africa if you are applying for undergraduate studies. Please e-mail: fax@usaf.ac.za for the exemption certificate.

What is the payment plan for tuition fees?
Yearly students
- you can pay your fees in equal instalments over nine months. The due date for the total balance is 31 October 2023
Semester students
- you can pay your fees in equal instalments over four months. The due date for the 1st semester is 31 May 2023 and for the 2nd semester is 31 October 2023
