Are golf carts street legal in South Africa?
The use of golf carts on public roads may be approved and authorised by the MEC or local authority concerned.
When a transgression occurs, a “traffic fine” cannot be imposed by a private body like Homeowners Associations, unless the relevant person imposing the fine is authorized by law under the NRTA.
