Accounting, finance, and economics all deal with the way we view money. Accounting is about money going in versus money going out; finance is about how to divide the money you have; and economics asks the question: “What’s the bigger picture when it comes to money?”

Duration: One year per NQF level.
Admission requirements:
- Competency in Learning Outcomes at NQF Level 3 of the same sub-field / program.
To obtain a National Certificate: A total of 7 subjects: 3 Fundamental and 4 Vocational subjects, of which 3 are compulsory and 1 is optional.
Access to the following vocational activities:
Participation in the:
- Performance of bookkeeping duties;
- Keeping records of wages, salaries, petty cash, Value Added Tax (VAT);
- Preparation of financial statements;
- Management of budgets, analyses of finances of the business, etc.
