Excavator Training Assessment

The assessment complies with specified standards. Certificates and Operator licenses are issued to learners who demonstrate competence to the required standard.

Excavator Training is available in Germiston, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban, Mpumalanga, Cape Town, Bellville Rustenburg, and Limpopo. We also admit international students.

Excavator operators are required to:

  • – Carry out the correct pre-starting and pre–operating checks.
  • – Tell the maintenance supervisor when there is a fault that requires immediate attention.
  • – Ensure lights, rotating hazard lights, windows, and mirrors are clean.
  • – Ensure track tension is correct.
  • – Ensure lights, sirens and backup alarms are working properly.
  • – Do not exceed the safe speed for the activity being undertaken.
  • – Always mount and dismount the machine using three points of contact on the handrails, grab irons and steps, and always face the machine.
  • – Always be aware of the presence of pedestrians. Keep to designated routes.
  • – Always observe all site signs and signals.
  • – Always operate the excavator with extreme care.
  • – Always wear the correct personal protective equipment
