What is Electrical Infrastructure Construction?
Electrical Infrastructure means electrical poles, towers and above or below-ground wires and cables, and all necessary foundations,
footings, cross arms, line switches, transformers, panels, meters, and other appliances, appurtenances, and fixtures related to the foregoing.

(NQF Level 2)
Duration: One year per NQF level.
Admission requirements:
- Grade 9 or higher
- ABET Level 4
- NQF level 1
To obtain a National Certificate: A total of 7 subjects: 3 Fundamental and 4 Vocational subjects.
(NQF Level 3)
Duration: One year per NQF level.
Admission requirements:
- Competency in Learning Outcomes at NQF Level 2 of the same sub-field / program.
To obtain a National Certificate: A total of 7 subjects: 3 Fundamental and 4 Vocational subjects.
(NQF Level 4)
Duration: One year per NQF level.
Admission requirements:
- Competency in Learning Outcomes at NQF Level 3 of the same sub-field / program.
To obtain a National Certificate: A total of 7 subjects: 3 Fundamental and 4 Vocational subjects.
Access to the following vocational activities:
- Work at a power station;
- Work as an electrician at an energy-producing company or power plant;
- Work as an electrical technician at a telecommunications company;
- Work at a recording studio as an electrical engineer;
- Work at a theatre as a technician.
