How to get an Egypt visa from South Africa?
Visas are required by all visitors to Egypt.
E-Visa. You can obtain an e-Visa for tourism purposes prior to travel by completing an application and making payment online.
The e-Visa can be obtained up to 3 months before you travel and is valid for 30 days from the day you enter the country.
The e-Visa is available to a long list of eligible countries. The current cost of a single entry e-Visa for tourism purposes is USD25 or equivalent. The visa cost is set to rise to USD60 and may do so at any time and without notice.

SOUTH AFRICAN PASSPORT HOLDERS: Effective 01 Apr 2022 South African passport holders are able to obtain a visa upon arrival to Egypt. As RSA has yet to be added to the e-Visa eligibility list, a visa upon arrival would be your most convenient option.

Do South Africans need visa to travel to Egypt?
Visas are required for SA Nationals. Single Entry Tourist Visas for stays of up to 30 days may be obtained on arrival.
Can I fly to Egypt from South Africa?
South African passport holders do require a travel visa for Egypt.
Visas are issued free of charge by the Egyptian authorities for SA passport holders and must be obtained prior to your departure from Egypt. Please note that EgyptAir will not accept SA citizens as passengers without a visa.
