Diploma: Internal Auditing at Durban University of Technology

The Diploma is a 3-year programme in the Faculty of Accounting and Informatics. It is designed to provide students with knowledge of Internal Auditing. The internal auditor may be employed in any organization that has an internal audit department.

The minimum entrance requirements for admission to the DUT for a South African applicant is as below:

For Diploma programmes:

a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with a minimum achievement rating of 3 for English and a minimum achievement rating of 3 in four recognized NSC 20-credit subjects.

Minimum Requirements For Admission For NCV Level for Applicants

For Diploma:

A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with the following minimum requirements:

At least 50% in three fundamental subjects including, English; and

At least 60% in three compulsory vocational.

What can I do after my diploma in Internal Auditing?

Candidates completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Auditing will be able to further pursue the Professional Internal Auditor (PIA) designation offered by the IIA South Africa as well as the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), which is an international designation, offered by the IIA Global.
