The BCom Law is a business law degree that equips graduates with the knowledge base, theory, and methodology of commerce, and the general rules of law. You will receive specialized knowledge in certain law subjects such as tax, accounting, governance, and compliance.

Minimum admission requirements

To be able to register, candidates must comply with the minimum requirements for degree studies, as well as with the minimum requirements for the relevant program.

The calculation of an Admission Point Score (APS) is based on a candidate’s achievement in any SIX recognized NSC 20-credit subjects by using the NSC seven-point rating scale.

Life Orientation is a 10-credit subject and may not be used for calculating the APS.

Life Orientation is also not a faculty-specific subject requirement.

Does BCom law require maths?

the applicant must have completed Mathematics (with a final result of a C or above) at least in terms of her/his O Level Cambridge qualification.

Can I do LLB after B.Com law?

YES, you can do LLB after B.Com as L.L.B is a post-graduation course and the eligibility criterion to do L.L.B is graduation.

The eligibility criteria for the LLB course is that one should have a B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com degree with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for the general category and 35% in aggregate for SC/ST students.
