How do you qualify for an Honours degree?

It is generally considered a postgraduate year because a bachelor’s degree can be completed without it.

Entry to an honors degree generally requires proven abilities and a distinction (75% or greater average) in the relevant area or the final-year units, and even then is quite competitive.

What are the benefits of having an Honours degree?

Being awarded honors considerably enhances your undergraduate qualification and transferable skill set.

You will fine-tune your research, critical thinking, and communication abilities and demonstrate to employers that you can challenge yourself and go the extra mile.

Is it worth doing a joint Honours degree?

Although studying for a joint honors degree can seem like an extra hassle, taking on two subjects at the university level does work for some.

But the main reason anyone should opt for a joint honors degree is that they have a genuine passion for two subjects, and are open to seeing how they fit together.
