How much does Artist Registration Cost in South Africa?

The fee is R100 for Composers and Authors and R500 for Publishers. Current SAMRO Members are exempt from paying the fee.

To apply, submit the SAMRO Member Application form, Notification of Works form, Deed of Assignment form, and a copy of your ID.

Who pays artists in South Africa?

SAMRO is a collective rights management society that represents music composers, authors and publishers in South Africa.

It is responsible for licensing the public performance of musical works and collecting royalties on behalf of its members.
