Do alcohol inks expire?
Do not use inks in spray bottles as inks contain alcohol, which should not be airborne. Alcohol Inks are acid-free and have a shelf life of five years. As alcohol inks are dye-based and translucent, UV exposure will cause the colors to fade over time.
What are the ingredients of alcohol inks?
Basics: The main ingredients are dye and alcohol, but even within the same brand, the percentages of those ingredients differ. Alcohol is what causes the ink to move; dye is the pigment that remains after the alcohol evaporates.
Is alcohol ink waterproof?
Alcohol ink is waterproof, adding to its durable properties. These dye-based inks are transparent and extremely vibrant.
