The Advanced Diploma in Nature Conservation will consist of four modules, each worth 30 credits. These modules are Protected Area Management, Communities and Wildlife, Natural Resource Management, and Research Methodology.

Qualification admission requirements

Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.

A National Diploma in Nature Conservation (or equivalent), with an average of 60% or more for Animal Studies III, Plant Studies III, Conservation Ecology III, and Conservation Resource Management III or equivalents.

Applicants who have a final major mark of 50% to 59% or who completed the diploma more than 5 years previously, may be considered by the department by submitting a motivation, CV, and evidence of relevant industry working experience for at least three years after completing the Diploma in Nature Conservation.

Applicants who do not comply with the above requirements should consider applying for a lower level qualification for which they meet the statutory and additional requirements.
