Qualification admission requirements

Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.

An appropriate Diploma in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with modules on NQF level 6 in the fields of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Management and Taxation,
or
an appropriate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent, with modules on NQF level 6 in the fields of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Management and Taxation,
or
any Bachelor’s degree and a completed Advanced Certificate in Accounting Sciences or its equivalent.

R120 for online applications

Apply for admission

Additional support for this qualification via TVET colleges

Unisa has an agreement with various Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges to offer classes in a selected number of qualifications. These classes have proved to generally improve the throughput rate of students who enrol for them.

Take note of the following:

Make sure that your TVET college of choice offers support in your qualification. 

Apply for admission during Unisa’s application period via your TVET college or via Unisa.

What can I do with Diploma in cost and management accounting?

When you study cost and management accounting you will be able to be hired to work as a cost accountant or management accountant in any organisation. There will also be opportunities to work as a budget analyst, financial analyst, financial or stock controller or financial planner.
