Do you pour boiling water over the tea bag?
Our top tip is that you should never pour boiling water over a tea bag or loose tea.
The reason for this is that the boiling water will burn the tea, it scalds it and therefore, the tea doesn’t release all of its maximum flavors.
Why should you not squeeze a tea bag?
The liquid that remains trapped inside the tea bag has even higher instances of tannic acid than what is able to steep out of the bag on its own.
By squeezing the tea bag, you inadvertently release these tannic acids into your tea and in turn create a far more bitter, sour, and acidic cup of tea.
