What was the original price of a Swatch watch?
The first collection of twelve Swatch models was introduced on 1 March 1983 in Zürich, Switzerland. Initially, the price ranged from CHF 39.90 to CHF 49.90 but was standardized to CHF 50.00 in the autumn of the same year. Sales targets were set to one million timepieces for 1983 and 2.5 million the year after.
How long do Swatch batteries last?
Some Swatch watches are powered by an ‘automatic movement’ which means they don’t have a battery. Instead, your natural movement is used to power the watch, so you’ll simply need to strap it on to get it ticking. If you have a traditional battery-powered design, the battery should give you 3 – 5 years of everyday use
Is Rolex owned by Swatch?
