When can a Nguni cow get pregnant?

Sexual maturity is attained when a heifer reaches 60 percent of her expected mature weight. If Nguni cows in a herd weigh 370kg the heifer progeny would reach puberty by 220kg under extensive grazing conditions and could be mated. Heifers could be mated at 15 months of age.
