Advanced Diploma In Hospitality Management At University Of Mpumalanga UM

The Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management introduces students to research by developing the students’ applied and cognitive competencies in
the acquisition, interpretation, understanding and applications of hospitality management principles.


DURATION:
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management is a one-year,120 credit, exit level 7 qualification.


CURRICULUM:
Persons achieving this qualification will be competent in applying managerial skills, identifying, selecting and applying a range of research methodologies and techniques to research problems in their own and social science’s area of specialization.


The aim of the qualification is to produce employable graduates that have managerial, research and entrepreneurial skills.


Students will be exposed to the following modules:
• Hospitality Management IV
• Hospitality Financial Management IV
• Hospitality Industry Law III
• Research Methodology

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Of Advanced Diploma In Hospitality Management At University Of Mpumalanga UM
The minimum entrance requirement for the Advanced Diploma is a Level 6 Diploma in Hospitality Management. Applicants with an equivalent qualification with an aggregate of 60% for the prescribed major modules will also be considered.


RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) AND
CREDIT ACCUMULATION AND TRANSFER (CAT):
Applicants wishing to be considered for admission in terms of RPL or to have credits transferred to this programmed must indicate this on their application.

The University policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT) will be applied

PROGRESSION:
Students who successfully complete this Advanced Diploma will be able to apply for admission to a Post Graduate
Diploma in Hospitality Management or an Honors Degree in Hospitality Management.
