Admission requirements
Qualification admission requirements
Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.
A Senior Certificate with exemption, as well as an appropriate accredited Bachelor’s degree (360 or 480 credits) or equivalent National Diploma (360 or 480 credits) with Mathematics or Applied Mathematics completed up to third-year level and Statistics or Accounting or Applied Mechanics or Physics or Agriculture completed up to second-year level.
Students who do not meet all the requirements may be permitted to register one level or part thereof for the required school subject if not met for NDP. If more than one level or part thereof is outstanding, the student should rather consider applying for a Bachelor of Education degree.

Math literacy (also known as numeracy) means having the ability to problem-solve, reason, and analyze information. Math literacy is the second key step for all students, beyond language literacy. It is the ability to use numbers to help solve real-world problems.
