Admission requirements

Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.

A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning and in Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences or equivalent,
or
a Senior Certificate (SC) with at least an F symbol on HG or an E symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning and in Biology or Agricultural Sciences or equivalent,
or
a National Certificate (Vocational) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning and in Agriculture or Nature Conservation.

What certifications do you need to work with animals?

How to become one: Animal control workers are required to have a minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent. Additional training usually takes place on the job. The National Animal Care & Control Association offers training programs. In addition, some states require certification in animal control.
