How To Adjust Date On WhatsApp
Way 1: Check Time and Date Settings on Your Device
For iPhone users:
- Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically. Now, your iPhone will automatically set the date and time corresponding to your time zone.
- Also, permit your iPhone to use your current location to get your correct time zone. To do this, open Settings > Privacy> Location Services > System Services and select Setting Time Zone.
- Then, confirm that the iPhone is showing the correct time zone in Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
For Android users:
Open Settings and scroll down to Tap Date & Time. Here, tap Automatic. Now validate your device is showing the correct Date, Time and Time Zone
Way 2: Update to the Newest WhatsApp
WhatsApp administration regularly updates the app to remove any bugs in the older version.
Mostly, this issue exists in the older version of WhatsApp, so you must update your WhatsApp to the latest version from the App store of your iPhone or Play Store Android devices. Hopefully, it will fix the issue of WhatsApp error date and time inaccurate.
Why does my WhatsApp show the wrong date?
Incorrect Device Date and Time Settings
WhatsApp relies on your device’s date and time settings to accurately display message timestamps. If your device’s date or time is set incorrectly, it can lead to inaccurate dates in WhatsApp.
