What is a Steak?
A steak is a thick cut of meat generally sliced across the muscle fibers, sometimes including a bone. It is normally grilled or fried. Steak can be diced, cooked in sauce, such as in steak and kidney pie, or minced and formed into patties, such as hamburgers.
How To Air Fry Steak
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, and herbs. Place in the center of a piece of plastic wrap and roll into a log. Twist ends together to keep tight and refrigerate until hardened, 20 minutes.
Step 2
Season steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Place steak in the basket of air fryer and cook at 400° for 12 to 14 minutes, for medium, depending on the thickness of the steak, flipping halfway through.
Step 4
Top steak with a slice of herb butter to serve.
How long to put a steak in an air fryer?
Preheat a 3.5-quart air fryer to 400 degrees F. Season the steak on both sides with a generous pinch of salt and several grinds of black pepper.
Place the steak in the center of the air fryer basket and cook until desired doneness, about 10 minutes for medium-rare, 12 minutes for medium and 14 minutes for medium-well.
How to air fry cooked steak?
STEP ONE: Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees.
STEP TWO: Place your leftover steak in the air fryer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes depending on size and thickness. A very thick steak cut may take an additional 1 to 2 minutes. The steak is done cooking when it’s warmed thoroughly and checked with a meat thermometer.
