How are you supposed to eat shortbread?
For a dessert elevator, crush over high-quality ice cream and add berries and shaved chocolate.
Make a cookie crust (instead of graham crackers) with them.
Crumbs can be added to pancakes, french toast, and cream brûlée.
Toast them lightly and sprinkle over warmed Brie.
Is shortbread supposed to be hard or soft?
Yes, upon cooling it will firm up. Shortbread should have a soft and tender texture but be slightly crisp when you bite into it.
