How do you calculate bag filters?
If you know the diameter of the bag, multiply this diameter by 3.14 to get the circumference. (Think back to high school math and the circumference of a circle.)
Therefore, the circumference of the bags (diameter of the bag x 3.14) multiplied by the length of the bag will give you an approximate bag surface area.
How long do filter bags last?
Bag filters can last anywhere from a few weeks to a few years. The exact figure can change according to a number of factors.
Instead of homing in on an arbitrary number of days before a bag filter needs replacement (according to the manufacturer), it is easier to pay attention to the filter itself.
What is the standard size of a filter bag?
Woven Monofilament Bags
Filter Size | Length | Diameter |
---|---|---|
Size 1 | 16″ | 7″ |
Size 2 | 32″ | 7″ |
Size 3 | 8″ | 4″ |
Size 4 | 14″ | 4″ |
How do you calculate bag size?
Measure the width, depth and height of the container to be lined. The depth is the shortest side. To determine the Width (W) of the bag, add the width of the container + depth of the container + 2″ for a looser fit. To determine the Length (L) of the bag, add 1/2 the depth to the height.
