How do you get citrus oil?
Citrus oil dominates this class of essential oil. It is obtained by the cold press method with the exception of lime oil, which is also prepared by steam distillation of essential oil separated during the production of juice.
How long do citrus oils last?

You can even store them in the refrigerator, which is specifically recommended for citrus oils because they are more susceptible to oxidation; typical shelf life for citrus oils is nine months to one year.
What method is used to extract citrus oils?
The traditional method to extract essential oils from citrus peels is by cold pressing. Distillation is also used in some countries as an economical way to recover the oils, with a better yield of 0.21% vs. 0.05% for cold pressing.
Does citrus oil evaporate?
