Are RISO printers any good?
They are ink jet tech and they get hammered, but generally very robust, and they are fast . Some engineer call-outs but no more than any other type and they are usually here same day or first thing the next morning.

How many colors can you print with RISO?
1- 4 colors
We currently have 10 colors to choose from: Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Black, Purple, Teal, Fluorescent Orange, and Fluorescent Pink. We recommend printing with 1-4 colours . Multiple colors are achieved by changing the drums in the machine. Every time a new color is needed, the rice creates a new stencil.
What paper is used for Riso printing?
Because soy-based ink is liquid, Risograph printing works best on uncoated paper . The thinnest paper is 20lb bond and the heaviest is 80lb cover (although we are always up for experimenting!) Our favorite papers to work with have either a smooth or vellum finish to it.
Can you Riso print a photo?

Can a Riso print double-sided?

TIP: DRYING TIME Leave your prints to dry before you apply additional colors or print on the flipside of your paper in order to avoid roller feed marks and paper jams. Print in draft mode
Draft mode uses the least amount of ink and will save you money, but it may not be suitable for printing out coursework or your CV. Just check that it’s still readable. Only print the pages you need.
Does Riso use CMYK?
CMYK inks are not made in Riso meaning we are able to use our own colors to replace the norm.

Please count each IMPRESSION separately . A run of 10 x 2 color prints would be R2 if you could 10p for each time through the machine. This is to cover the ink used, there is no need to count the first few prints that you do to get the ink over the entire master.
